So I kept a log of the trip and took some fun pictures as well. I missed everyone, but it was good to take a week off.

So, without further ado, here’s the trip!

Day the Friday:

So, Doom got us totally lost. (*waits for his screaming*) Hehe. Basically, once we left the house around 9am, we had good roads, till I remembered… it’s Friday… and we’re driving through NY… to the George Washington Bridge. D’oh.

So, an hour after that, we made it into NJ, then PA. Now, some road, this PA-309, we were supposed to look for a road called North Broad Street and make a right and we’d be less than 5 mins away from Doom and wife.

Skip forward about an hour later, we found a North Broad Street.

Doom: So where are you guys?

Me: Well, we’re about to hit the capital building, and I’m really hoping the street it’s on is Main Street, cause I haven’t seen a Main street yet.

Doom: You’re joking right? You don’t see a Capital Building…

Me: Nope, I’m pretty sure the building in front of me with the statures and a mini dome is your Capital building!

Doom: /headdesk

Ok, you need to get back to 309.

Me: Umm, ok. So you don’t live IN Philly?

Doom: No in the ‘burbs!

Me: ARG!

So, it’s like 3ish. We’re in Down Town Philly. On a Friday. A gorgeous, beautiful, my-GOD-why-aren’t-you-outside Friday. Rush Hour Baby! /wrists

Took us about another hour just to get out of Philly, onto their 676, to 76, to 276, to 309!

Is it me, or is easier to say 67… anywho. That whole running from this 76 to that 76 totaled about 10 miles… which took us another hour to traverse.

This entire time, since Doom said, “Wait, you’re in Philly?!!!1one!” I’ve had to take a wicked piss. No, bathrooms in SIGHT!

I’m doing the pee dance in my seat. Very lucky Fio was driving.

So my lofty guess of seeing Doom around 1ish was dashed and we didn’t get a chance to see him or the missus until 5ish. Ug.

But we made it! /cheer

They haz a very pretty house. ^.^

Mrs. Doom makes awesome food. She loves to cook and we had rosemary chicken, potatoes, greenbean casserole and sweet potatoes. I <3 Potatoes. <3 <3 <3 Most awesome of food.

Oh and we had Sticky Buns in the morning! They were quite awesome as well.

Got stuck on some dramaz from the guild on Saturday nightish, but we hijacked Doom’s PC n stuff. Everything resolved. Huzzah!

Oh and Xian came out to see us! He was like “ZOMG you guys are near Philly?! I’m like an hour away. ADDRESS NAO KTHX!” That was at like 830pm. Skip to about 11pm and Xian finally made it XD

He made it! Yay for Xian-cakes!

But then we all played a game of Munchkin till like 1am. Giggled at the joke TJ played on Gosaag. Then she called us assholes for having the BBQ early T.T WE’RE NOT!

So, it’s Sunday, we’ve left Doom and Mrs. Doom behind and are currently on our way to see the Oz and Hellion ^.^ Le Wewt! More laterz.

Day the Wednesday:

So it’s Wednesday now, the visit with Oz and Bane was the uber awesome! It was Oz’s Bday n stuff, and we’ve gotten her and Bane hooked to Firefly and Trigun. I was aghast when they said they hadn’t seen either show. CAUSE THEY ARE THE AWESOME!

It’s the Eeevil couple themselves! Muwhahahahahaaaa!

On Sunday, it took us about 5 hours to get to Oz’s from Doom’s house. When we got there, there was squishy hugs given, we got to see the Spawn of the Diet Coke of Evil, and he is a cutey.

Then it was a day full of Triguny goodness, oh and Eat N’ Park? Sounds like it’s backwards. You know, you have to park before you eat but… srsly? The place was AWESOME. I had Bananas Foster French toast and it was the bestest thing ever! It was uber yummy. Bane had a bit of a flu-ish feeling for the few days, so we didn’t get to see him too too much, but he was still there for squishy hugs and awesomeness ^.^

Firefly all days Tuesday makes for a happy Oz. She has a new series to get. /cheer

Then it was off to see my parents until Friday! We’re here chillin’ out with my Pop for now, Friday we’re heading back home but we’re gonna be seein’ PAULIE on Friday and his bro Joe! I’m excited!

Oh! And we heard some awesome news as I got to read up on the AC forums: EGO and her Hubby and some friends want to join. Z.O.M.G. /faint

Seriously, have I mentioned excited?

Day the Second Friday:

What’s with the Rats speech? No clue, however, it’s Friday night, just got done with my share of the driving through this very long state of Pennsylvania. I mean, like, holy cow, are we OUT of PA yet? /grumble

I want hoooooooome. Seeing my parents rocked, my dad is a dork and bought us food for the apocalypse (I kid not, he’s weird like that), Mom’s idea of a fun day is driving 50 miles into Amish country to buy cheese, but I bought fudge instead, and my brother is still a pain in the rear.

Wouldn’t change them a bit. I love seeing my family. I really do miss them too. Living 12 hours away sucks butt. But I really miss mah girls. I think I mentioned this, but like Monday it hit me, “Holy crap, we’re gonna be gone till Friday!” We usually take these driving vacations in like 4 or 5 day stints, but this time, WHAMMY! Eight days gone. I miss my kittens.

Though Mom and Dad’s dog BD is a.dor.a.ble. You see, they got her from the no kill pound near their town, and you see, she was fostered out to this lady for 6 months to house train her and get her used to people and whatnot. Thing is, said lady had a house full of cats. So now BD acts like a cat trapped in a dog body. It’s hilarious.

So! After saying goodbye to my parental and sibling unit (watched Coneheads at mom’s for the first time, it was funny!) we headed back over to Pittsburg to see Paulie and his bro, Joe!

We didn’t get lost. (HA!) And Paulie met us at one very classy joint. Hehe. Silly as it may be, I app’d there once in my hometown, back when I got out of college. No chance in hell I was gonna get the job, but I did drop off the app! So ha!

Anywho, I had a very yummy quesadilla and we chatted with da Pimp, our waitress’s name was Steph, and since the cook liked to SHOUT out the server’s names to get their attention… every time he called out “STEPH” I looked. /sigh

About an hour or so later, Joe came with some of his minions in tow, and they were absolutely adorable. Lucky for me, Joe’s wifey wasn’t there to yell at me for teaching Joe Jr some choice words >.>

This is what Joe gets for having vent on when I’m on a Rant-page.

Many squishy hugs were given, as well as pictures (which I’ve been posting ^.^) and now Jas and I are on the road, almost hooooooome.

Some road thoughts: What’s with the I pass you, you pass me game some people like to play? I mean seriously, there was this mini van that kept slowing down and speeding up that I know I passed and he passed me like 5 times.

Also, what’s with all these ZOMG CONSTRUCTION signs… and then there’s nobody there? Like it looks like everything’s fine, ‘cept for all the damn signs… It’s just weird.

Oh and those damn “This is how fast your going LAWBREAKER!” signs? The ones that lazer you to show the WORLD how fast you’re going? /onefingersalute

Gah, well, I think that’s about all that was exciting about the trip. Definitely had lots of fun, and it was a good way to relax. Some after thoughts: She’s still in my thoughts and I’m still getting a bit teary eyed when I think about Moo. I’ll probably be really sappy tomorrow, during the Running of Da Bulls. I made my bull Giddg, since that’s what she met me as. Cayleigh is my main now, but the Giddglet is the one she Moonkin humped with Jas all those times back in Ulda and whatnot. Still miss her though. I think one thing that’s helped me not think of it all that much is the fact that I’ve had nothing familiar to remind me this week. I mean, the excitement of meeting Doom, Xian, Oz, Hellion, Immortus, and Gildamesh kinda helped push away the sad thoughts. But I got extra strong hugs, and that helped.
