We had a few odd issues with combo points not displaying when we started doing this fight too. Found that for "healer" dragons doing a "/target pet" after he thumps you on the dragon and for DPSers making sure you clear your target and reacquired maly after you get your new ride resolved most of them. Another thing we found interesting was that the warlock summoning circles, pally bubble, ice block (and I'm assuming other immunity effects as well - but not tested. Shadowmeld does not work.) will pop you right out of the vortex and allow you to pewpew / heal through it. /cheer
